Victor McCarley Sr. executive director of the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents has been presented the L.P. McCord National Education Award for outstanding commitment to education by Thomas Grau, president of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America during National Board of State Directors Meeting at the association’s annual convention in New York.
McCarley was honored by the Big “I” in the category of associations with less than 460 members. Alabama was selected for its impressive and comprehensive curriculum design. The association continues to offer new and innovative programs that showcase a variety of topics and strengthen Alabama’s agents’ knowledge of insurance while enhancing their business skills.
The Big “I” Convention, runs through today in New York. It features nationally recognized speakers, such as “America’s Mayor,” Rudy Giuliani, who revitalized New York City during his tenure (1993-2001) and inspired his city鈥攁nd the nation鈥攖o come together and move forward in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
