The Florida Department of Insurance revoked the bail bond license of Huxley Petigny, following an emergency order of suspension based on criminal charges filed against him by the Miami-Dade Police Department. Petigny is facing charges of organized fraud, grand theft and nearly 100 charges of forgery.
Petigny, of Shouldy’s Bail Bonds, was arrested in July by investigators with the Miami-Dade Police Department as a result of a joint investigation also involving the state’s Division of Insurance Fraud. The investigators say Petigny forged judges’ signatures on legal documents that satisfied judgments on bail bonds, thereby eliminating his liability to pay when defendants failed to appear in court.
