Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services says more than 430,000 people in the state may have had their personal information compromised by a data breach.
The agency said that the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission and the Office of Workforce Development both use the breached website of Kansas-based American Job Link Alliance that’s used to coordinate federal unemployment and workforce development programs.
OMES said the breach includes names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers of residents and that by next week American Job Link Alliance will notify all users whose information was compromised.
The agency said the system has been repaired and secured and that the FBI has been notified of the data breach and that the system is not connected to any other state of Oklahoma systems.
