Texas Commissioner of Insurance Julia Rathgeber appointed Lyndell Haigood to serve on the board of directors of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) for a term to expire in March 2015.
The board oversees all TWIA operations and carries out the duties set forth in Chapter 2210 of the Texas Insurance Code.
Haigood, of Wichita Falls, is regional vice president for State Auto Insurance Co. where he is responsible for all personal lines sales in a region which encompasses Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. He formerly served on the Texas Windstorm Technical Advisory Panel and is a member of the Association of Fire and Casualty Companies of Texas, Insurance Council of Texas, and Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association.
