Tom Hughston, CEO of insurance brokerage Roach Howard Smith & Barton in Dallas, Texas, was recently named a member of the Assurex Global board of directors at the 2013 Global Conference and Shareholders’ Meeting in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Assurex Global is the world’s largest privately held commercial insurance, risk management and employee benefits brokerage group.
Roach Howard Smith & Barton’s current chairman, Karen Farris and founding partner, Richard Roach have previously served on the Assurex Global board of directors.
Hughston joined Roach Howard Smith & Barton in 1991, was appointed to its board of directors in 1995, and named CEO in 2011. He specializes in commercial insurance production. He is currently a board member of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB).
