The Texas Department of Insurance announced that selections have been made for two agency deputy commissioner positions.
Mark Einfalt will serve as deputy commissioner of compliance beginning Sept. 23, 2013. He will lead the activities of the consumer protection, enforcement and fraud sections.
Einfalt previously was an assistant attorney general in the medicaid fraud division in the Texas Attorney General’s office. Prior to his public service, he was a partner in a private law firm in Austin.
Allison Castle was selected to serve as deputy commissioner of public affairs beginning Oct. 1, 2013. She will lead the government relations office and the public information office.
Castle has extensive experience in media relations and political communications, serving in key public, private and political positions. Currently a senior staff member to Gov. Rick Perry, she works closely with other divisions within the governor’s office, state agencies, state and federal officials and third-party groups, advancing the governor’s initiatives.
Before joining the governor’s office, she served as a senior associate at ROSS Communications, managing public affairs campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and national and state trade associations.
