Louisiana State Police have arrested four people for allegedly staging traffic accidents in Ouachita Parish.
Detectives tell The News-Star they looked into six of 20 crashes where individuals filed false bodily injury claims.
Trooper says the insurance companies in two of the six crashes paid out more than $18,000 to the suspects. Payments were denied by the other insurance companies due to misrepresentation and non-cooperation, the LSP said.
Seven warrants were signed on Jan. 23, 2012, and arrests were made Jan. 24, 2012.
Troopers say they are still looking for three suspects in the staged crash ring.
