Kyle Stevens, president and CEO of Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers (WSS) and Dallas-based WestPro Insurance Services, has delivered a $25,000 check to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure as a result of a 2010 fundraising effort.
In late 2009, Western Security Surplus and WestPro Insurance Services notified its staff and clients that they were committed to giving back to the community by supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure for one year. The target goal was $25,000 and to reach the goal, $10 from every new policy written in 2010 would be earmarked for the charity.
According to Stevens, “Presenting the $25,000 check on behalf of our agents was a great honor for me. As we suspected, the insurance industry stepped up the plate and we wrote 2,340 new policies in 2010. Susan G. Komen is a great organization and a great cause. I’m thrilled that our organizations are able to help them continue their efforts to find a cure for breast cancer.”
West-Pro Insurance Services is WSS’ MGA facility and is located in the Dallas.
