Excess and surplus lines broker Maclean, Oddy & Associates Inc. (MOA) has appointed Sharon Schiappa as vice president and producer. Schiappa is based in Houston.
Schiappa brings more than 25 years of marine and energy insurance experience to MOA, working in both retail and wholesale brokerage and serving both United States and international clients.
Previously, she was an assistant vice-president at Marsh where she worked on large marine and energy accounts. Prior to this, Schiappa worked in various roles at other insurance brokers and agencies, including McGriff, Seibels & Williams, John L. Wortham, Anco, Wetzel and Johnson & Higgins.
Maclean, Oddy & Associates, with offices in Dallas, Houston and New Orleans, is a unit of London-based Faber & Dumas, a third-party wholesale insurance broker.
