The Republic Group, a regional insurer based in Dallas, announced that Jay C. Williams has joined the company as its new Personal Lines Underwriting Process manager.
In this newly created position, Williams will manage the company’s customer support and agency automation units, oversee audits and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. His initial focus will be to identify workflow process improvements and to implement a Personal Lines training program.
Prior to joining Republic, Williams worked for King & Robertson Insurance Agency in Albany, Texas, and Hargrave Insurance Agency in Cisco, Texas, where he was the office manager/sales agent for both agencies. Prior to that, Williams was with Safeco for twelve years, working as a senior personal lines underwriter and in Territory Sales.
Republic Companies, through a group of insurance companies and related entities provides personal and commercial property and casualty insurance products. In its independent agents segments, Republic distributes these products to individuals and small to medium-size businesses through a network of independent agents primarily in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. In its program management and insurance services segments, Republic develops and manages target-niche insurance products that are distributed through managing general agents in many additional states.
