The Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation will hold a public hearing on Mar. 30, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. in the Tippy Foster Room of the Division of Workers’ Compensation’s central office located at 7551 Metro Center Drive, Suite 100, Austin, Texas, 78744-1609 (near the intersection of Highway 71 and Riverside Drive).
The Division of Workers’ Compensation will hear testimony on new, amended, and repealed rules (28 TAC 搂126.14 concerning Treating Doctor to Define Compensable Injury; 28 TAC 搂126.5, 126.6, and 126.7, 28 TAC 搂130.2 and 130.6, 28 TAC 搂126.14, 28 TAC 搂130.5 and 130.110 (repeals) concerning Designated Doctor/Required Medical Examination; 28 TAC 搂180.21, 180.22, and 180.28concerning Peer Review; and 28 TAC 搂133.500 & 133.501 concerning Electronic Medical Billing.)
These proposed rules were published in the Texas Register on Feb.3, 2006 (31 Tex. Reg 664-689), and may be viewed on the TDI Division of Workers’ Compensation’s Web site at . Although the comment period for these rules closed on Mar. 6, additional comments will be accepted at the hearing.
