Insurance services provider based in Covington, La., has added Janet Niles as vice president of MedCom Care Management Inc., Gilsbar’s medical management subsidiary. According to Gilsbar, Niles is responsible for MedCom Care Management’s current case management and utilization management programs and new product development.

Niles has an Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Masters Degree in Health Education, and over 25 years experience in the nursing and medical management fields. She most recently served as vice president of Health Services for Ochsner Health Plan. Niles has served as director of Medical and Quality Management for various health plans, as well as Adjunct Professor for Loyola University’s Masters in Nursing Program.

According to Gilsbar’s President and CEO, Hank Miltenberger, “Janet’s leadership experience in medical management will enable us to develop new health care initiatives and medical management services to reduce health plan costs for our customers. Her proven ability to create and implement quality assessment programs and audit processes helps ensure effective administration of our clients’ health plans and their healthcare.”
