Texas-based managing general agency (MGA) Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA) announced it was named Agent of the Year by The Hartford’s Houston branch.
The annual award honors the agency or broker demonstrating the best overall performance—including top line growth, new business success and profitability.
The Hartford’s Houston branch office serves southern Texas, including Austin, San Antonio and El Paso, and Louisiana.
“Through much hard work and commitment, we enjoyed a fabulous year with our partners at Combined Agents of America,” said David Bradford, Houston branch manager for The Hartford. “Our mutual results were quite remarkable in both top line production and bottom line profit. Many thanks go out to all in the CAA network who helped The Hartford achieve record results for our Houston branch office in 2003.”
CAA has a master contract with The Hartford enabling all 29 CAA members to work with The Hartford. The master contract was established November 2002.
“We are thrilled to receive this award from our partners at The Hartford. The award honors our cooperative effort and provides further support that CAA’s model can create dramatic results in growth and profitability,” said Jim Whorton, CAA chairman and president of Whorton Insurance Services, Austin. “The Hartford is committed to growth in Texas and CAA provides the company with an immediate distribution system to achieve growth—resulting in a mutually beneficial partnership.”
