The Insurance Council of Texas announced its 2003 Texas workers’ compensation seminar series will take place Oct. 29, Nov. 4 and Nov. 12.
Planned sessions include an update on legislation passed in the 78th Texas Legislature; an update on regulatory issues; a review of significant judicial, appeals panel, and SOAH decisions; an overview of the new Medical Fee Guideline Policies; a presentation on ethics in claims handling; and a Q&A session with the presenters.
Dates and locations are as follows:
路 Oct.29: Austin Marriott at the Capitol, 701 East 11th Street, Austin.
路 Nov. 4: Houston Marriott West Loop, 1750 West Loop South, Houston.
路 Nov. 12: Crowne Plaza Suites; 7800 Alpha Road; Dallas.
Speakers for the seminars include: Richard Geiger, a partner at Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP; Kevin McGillicuddy, director of Workers’ Compensation Services, Parker & Associates; Julie Shank is President of JShank Consulting; and Jane Stone, a partner at the Austin law firm of Wilson, Grosenheider, Moore and Jacobs, LLP.
The Texas Department of Insurance has approved CE credits for these seminars.
