London-based Euromoney Legal Media Group added Dallas attorney, Robert D. “Bob” Allen, to its current “Guide to the World’s Leading Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers.”
Allen, a partner in the Dallas office of Baker & McKenzie, is one of two Texas lawyers to be named to the listing. More than 3,000 in-house counsel, law firm partners and insurance industry specialists from 60 separate jurisdictions were polled over a 12-month period for their nominations for the world’s top insurance and reinsurance attorneys. Only nominations received from outside an individual’s firm were counted.
According to Baker & McKenzie, Allen’s practice is focused on representing insurance and commercial litigation clients in trial court and appellate proceedings. He regularly represents parties in complex insurance coverage, bad faith, fraud, reinsurance and regulatory litigation matters. His work includes disputes between excess carriers and primary carriers/self insureds, as well as defending insurers in class action litigation in both Federal and State courts. Allen also is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization as an appellate specialist.
