Wright National Flood Insurance Company said its affiliate, Wright National Flood Insurance Services, an operating company of Arrowhead Programs, has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Poulton Associates.
Poulton, one of the top providers of private flood insurance in the nation, will make Brown & Brown Inc. subsidiary Wright Flood the largest provider of flood insurance in the United States, the company said. Wright Flood offers federal, excess, and private flood insurance.
The transaction is expected to close in November. Terms were not disclosed.
Slat Lake City, Utah-based Poulton owns and operates the web platform, . The organization provides coverage through its popular National Catastrophe Insurance Program (NCIP) as well as other insurance offerings.

The combination of our teams will enable us to deliver greater value to our customers, while also increasing the number of properties covered by flood insurance,” said Patty Templeton-Jones, CEO of Clearwater, Florida-based Wright Flood.
“Our offerings are complementary, and producers and customers stand to benefit,” added Blake Poulton, president of Poulton Associates. “It’s a true win-win and we look forward to all we’ll accomplish, together.”
