Tarrytown, N.Y-based employment services firm The IMA Group (IMA) has acquired PsyBar, a specialty provider of behavioral health, independent medical exams and other employment-related services nationally.
Edina, Minn.-based PsyBar’s specialists include national board-certified psychologists, neuropsychologists and psychiatrists.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
PsyBar will continue to operate under its current name, with all key leadership remaining in place.
The acquisition of PsyBar expands IMA’s footprint as well as its behavioral health and payer services capabilities. IMA will now provide a single source of programs for employers, state and local government agencies, and carriers. Services provided include: fitness for duty; depression screening, post traumatic stress disorder screenings and police and public safety psychological evaluations.
In addition to independent medical exams, pre-employment examinations, forensic drug testing and occupational health services, IMA’s services help people get back to work and resume productivity.
