Richard DePiero has joined Sompo Pro, the U.S. professional liability insurer unit of Sompo International, as senior vice president, U.S. Cyber Product leader.
DePiero will be responsible for Sompo Pro’s U.S. cyber and network security offerings.
He brings more than a decade of cyber underwriting and broking experience to Sompo International. DePiero joins the company from Swiss Re Corporate Solutions where he served as senior vice president, head of Cyber & Technology E&O Underwriting, North America. Prior to Swiss Re, DePiero was senior vice president and Cyber & Technology Practice leader for Marsh USA. He started his career in claims and distribution at Electric Insurance Co., a G.E. subsidiary.
DePiero reports to Daniel Wadley, executive vice president, Sompo Pro, and will work with Brad Gow, Global Cyber Product leader at Sompo. DePiero is based in the company’s New York City office.
