JLT Specialty USA announced the appointment of James Vendetti as a director for its construction insurance practice, Construction Risk Partners (CRP).

Based in New York, Vendetti will focus on business development, managing existing client relationships and growing the CRP team.

Vendetti brings 11 years of experience in construction risk management. Most recently, Vendetti served as senior vice president for Starr Companies, where he managed the primary construction, environmental and transportation divisions. Vendetti launched Starr’s primary construction division in 2010. Prior to working at Starr Companies, Vendetti underwrote in the primary construction unit at Amercian International Group (AIG).
