Zurich North America has appointed David Putz as head of Direct Markets and Programs effective January 1, 2017. Putz is currently head of Direct Markets for Zurich and with the retirement of current head of Programs, Roger Brunner, his role will be expanded to include Zurich Programs business as well.
Putz is responsible for the operational management of Zurich’s offerings to the automotive industry and – as of January 1 – also will be responsible for the operational management of Zurich’s offerings through its program administrator operating model. Each business unit will remain separate and distinct businesses.
Putz will work with the retiring Brunner between now and the end of the year. He will continue to be located in Overland Park, Kansas.
Putz will report to Kathleen Savio, head of Alternative Markets, which is the new name for Zurich’s Programs and Direct Markets business unit that also includes Group Captives and the RCIS crop business.
