John Tatum has joined AXIS Insurance as executive vice president and head of U.S. Programs. In this new position, he is responsible for all programs and binding authorities for AXIS Insurance across the U.S. market.
Tatum reports directly to Carlton Maner, CEO of the U.S. division for AXIS. Tatum works out of offices in Illinois and Georgia.
Tatum has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and joins AXIS Insurance after 15 years at CNA Financial Corp. He was most recently senior vice president of CNA’s Middle Market, Construction and Large Casualty Business units. As part of his responsibilities, he led CNA’s Commercial Affiliation Marketing Programs for 10 years. Earlier in his career at CNA, Tatum held a number of underwriting and marketing roles.
