The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) has named Nathaniel F. Wienecke its senior vice president, federal government relations.
Wienecke comes to PCI after three years at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he has served as vice president for global government relations. In his role there, he advocated before the Obama Administration, the U.S. House Financial Services Committee and the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, as well as other Congressional Committees on key financial services issues.
From 2001 to 2009, he worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce, the last four of those as assistant secretary for legislative and intergovernmental affairs where he directed a staff of 86 professionals, a $10 million budget and worked with 21 committees of jurisdiction in Congress. Previously, he also served as a staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Wienecke holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics from the State University of New York. He also studied Russian language and culture at the Moscow Institute of Social and Political Studies and the Virtus Institute in Sochi, Russia.
