XL Insurance named Ronald E. Beauregard Jr. as senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for its excess and surplus (E&S) property business.
Based in Boston, Beauregard reports to Roxanne Mitchell, president of XL Insurance’s E&S unit.
Beauregard joins XL Insurance from Lexington Insurance Co. in Boston where he served as zonal property executive, responsible for property underwriting operations in the northeast region, including offices in Boston, Hartford, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh. Prior to his tenure with Lexington, Beauregard’s professional career also included various underwriting management and loss control positions with Aon, FM Global Insurance Co. and Factory Mutual Engineering.
