The wholesale brokerage unit of Pat Ryan’s Ryan Specialty Group LLC, has acquired one of the nation’s largest executive and professional liability intermediary specialists.
R-T Specialty LLC acquired Bloomfield, Conn.-based Oakbridge Insurance Services LLC, an insurance intermediary focused exclusively on executive and professional liability exposures and insurance solutions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Oakbridge was organized in 2005 as the successor to Carpenter Moore Insurance Services’ Eastern U.S. operations. Oakbridge also maintains offices in California, Minnesota, New Jersey and Ohio.
Alex Jezerski, a managing member of Oakbridge said: “RT Specialty has presented us with a once in career opportunity that will allow us to combine the expansive RT resources and existing talent pool with our unique business model, intellectual property and claims advocacy skills. The synergies between the two firms will be extraordinarily beneficial to our existing retailers and prospects, as we develop and expand the relationships that will continue to bring innovative products and solutions for our partners’ clients.”
