The Hartford has named William Awad as the company’s chief technology officer.
Awad will drive enterprise technology strategy and policy across the company. He will also define the overall architectural direction and standards for the company, and have management responsibility for technical strategy, architecture, IT standards, vendor management for technical products, technical innovation and architecture governance.
Awad most recently served as chief technology officer for Travelers and led the engineering, IT operations, and enterprise infrastructure technical architecture areas for the organization.
