Gerry O’Connor, senior vice president – commercial division of Old National Insurance in Indianapolis, has been named 2010 president of , a network of 24 independent insurance brokers in North America headquartered in Menlo Park, Calif.
O’Connor has been a multi-line broker in Indiana and Midwest for 28 years with Old National Insurance and its predecessor firm, J. W. Flynn Co. His specialty practices include environmental risk treatment of manufacturing, construction and real estate; municipalities; management liability with an emphasis on private companies on the verge of going public; risk transfer programs in the construction industry; and life sciences, with a concentration in product liability, errors and omissions and directors’ and officers insurance.
O’Connor and his firm were among the founding members of RiskProNet in 1997. “We were one of the smallest agencies when we started, and we are now one of the larger members,” he said. “My goal for the coming year is to build on what we have created, and to continue to strengthen our network.”
