Congress is poised to hold a public hearing on the use of credit scores by insurers in pricing.
Rep. Melvin L. Watt (D-N.C.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the House Financial Services Committee, announced that the subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled “Credit-Based Insurance Scores: Are They Fair?”
The hearing is scheduled for Friday, July 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., 2128 Rayburn House Office Building.
