Needham, Mass.-based research firm TowerGroup has added an insurance industry veteran to the role of research area director to lead the firm’s insurance practice.
West will head a team focused on charting the technology trends and strategies that help carriers and vendors in both the life and annuity and property and casualty industries.
West joins TowerGroup from SAS Institute, where he most recently led global marketing for the company’s insurance industry vertical offerings. Prior to SAS, West spent 13 years with Prudential, where he held a variety of positions in the property and casualty underwriting department before joining the IT department at Prudential HealthCare.
