Willis Group has created a worldwide, multi-disciplinary business serving the oil and gas industry on a global basis. Willis Energy draws on teams in Houston, Calgary, New York and London, and incorporates the company’s global retail network, according to the company.
“We have listened carefully to our energy sector clients and will now serve each of them with integrated teams of brokers, client service, engineering, construction and claims professionals working under a Client Advocate dedicated to solving their problems,” says Joe Plumeri, Willis chairman and chief executive officer. “We believe this business is an important growth opportunity for us that builds on our already strong position.”
Phillip Ellis is Willis Energy chairman. “If a client is building an LNG facility, they want our best LNG team – onshore and offshore – and not simply whoever is close by or whoever made the last client call,” says Ellis. “And they want a client team that they know and trust will anticipate their needs and respond to them quickly. We have no internal barriers to making sure this happens, and that’s a competitive advantage for our clients and for us.”
