Willis Group Holdings Ltd. has appointed Kevin Downs as leader of its North American Healthcare Practice. Downs is tasked with the strategic, financial and operational growth of the Healthcare Practice and is based in Chicago, Ill.
Previous to this appointment, Downs was Healthcare Leader for the Company’s Midwest operations. With over 26 years of industry experience, Downs is generally recognized as an expert in the field of health care. He has cultivated important industry relationships while acquiring a solid level of expertise within a large compliment of industry sectors including national integrated health care systems, large urban medial centers, regional health care systems and community hospitals as well as physicians groups.
Prior to joining Willis, he spent 14 years with Marsh’s National Health Care Group where he specialized in alternative risk financing consulting and brokerage service including the development and implementation of healthcare captive insurance companies.
