Aon Association Services and the American Society of Association Executives have launched an employee theft insurance program called CrimeShield for associations.
Employee theft accounts for hundreds of billions of dollars in business losses each year, according to Aon. The ASAE-sponsored CrimeShield program provides employee theft coverage for trade and professional associations of all sizes. Aon Association Services administers the program, and The Hartford is the program’s underwriter.
“While there’s no simple way to prevent employee theft, it can be minimized by risk management strategies, and it is definitely something associations can – and should – insure against with this new ASAE-sponsored coverage,” says Paul Bondy of Aon Association Services.
The ASAE-sponsored CrimeShield coverage provides financial protection against a wide range of fraudulent activities committed by employees, partners/members of limited liability companies, non-compensated officers, committee members and volunteers, with limits that can be tailored to an association’s needs.
“We encourage all associations concerned about employee theft to take a closer look at the coverage available through our new program,” says Dixie Arthur, president of ASAE Services, Inc., ASAE for-profit subsidiary dedicated to the business needs of associations.
Details on the new program will soon be available online at www.aon-asae.com.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., ASAE is an individual membership organization made up of more than 22,000 association executives and industry partners. Its members manage trade associations, individual membership societies, and voluntary organizations across the United States and in 50 countries around the globe.
