Associated Agencies Inc. in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, has hired Jim Schmidt as director of business development.
Most recently, Schmidt worked as commercial lines manager for USI Insurance Services since 2016. There, he promoted the USI Insurance brand during new and renewal client presentations, managed a book of middle market/risk management sized commercial lines clients in the healthcare, construction, manufacturing and habitational industries, and managed a team of sales and service personnel to increase USI’s local footprint.
Associated Agencies Inc. is an independent insurance agency that manages property and casualty, employee benefits/personal lines for business and individuals. Formed in 1890 when three brokerage firms merged to form one agency, it has grown from a small independent agency to a staff of 120 employees serving more than 3,000 clients across the U.S.
