Florida-based Universal Insurance Holdings Inc. announced that the Michigan Department of Insurance issued a Certificate of Authority to Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Co. (UPCIC), establishing UPCIC as a licensed insurance entity in Michigan.
In addition to Florida, UPCIC is licensed to offer its homeowners insurance products in North Carolina, South Carolina, Hawaii, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, Indiana, Pennsylvania and now Michigan.
