Insurance adjusters are still trying to figure out just how many cars on dealership lots and at private homes in the Farmington and Park Hills area of eastern Missouri were damaged by last week’s hail storm.
Severe storms dumped pea- and golf ball-sized hail on the region. Hundreds of vehicles were damaged, including the entire lots at several dealerships in St. Francois County.
The Daily Journal newspaper in Park Hills reports that many adjusters are working specifically with dealerships who are trying to get inventories of replacement vehicles as soon as possible.
So many adjusters were called to the area that virtually every hotel room was sold.
