Managing general agency, J.M. Wilson, has added Cherlyn Mims to its transportation team as assistant transportation underwriter in the company’s Arlington Heights, Ill., office.
Mims provides assistance to the transportation staff and office manager. She is responsible for underwriting new and renewal transportation business for Illinois independent agents.
Prior to joining J.M. Wilson, Mims was a GED teacher in the math department for GEO Group Inc. She also has experience in the insurance industry as an underwriter with Automobile Club of Southern California.
Founded in 1920, J.M. Wilson serves independent insurance agents in 20 states.
