Accident Fund Holdings Inc. has appointed Sue Jenkins, of Williamston, Mich., as general counsel. Jenkins is replacing Steven Hess, current general counsel, who is retiring on September 1, 2011.
In this role, Jenkins will be responsible for representing the enterprise with respect to all non-claim legal or regulatory actions. She has 16 years of experience in the legal sector, 10 of which are in the insurance industry.
Jenkins has worked for BCBSM for the past 10 years in a variety of capacities, most recently as principal counsel for the Government Programs Practice Group, and prior to that as senior attorney/Medicaid compliance officer for Blue Care Network/BlueCaid, and assistant general counsel for the Litigation Division. Prior to joining BCBSM, Jenkins worked as an attorney for R. Bruce Carruthers & Associates, P.C.; Project Advantage Group Inc.; the Florida Department of Labor and Employment Security; and the Florida House of Representatives Committee on Judiciary.
