Larry Bloomenkranz has been named chief marketing officer for The Progressive Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio, The announcement was made by Paul-Lawrence Associates, an executive search firm.
Bloomenkranz, who began his new position at Progressive on April 28, was previously the vice president of Brand Management, Advertising and Sponsorships for United Parcel Service, Inc. in Atlanta, where he was responsible for brand strategy, identity and advertising across the enterprise globally, as well as all sponsorships and events. Bloomkranz also held other positions with UPS, including director of International Brand Communications in Atlanta and Brussels; and International Advertising manager in Brussels, London and Greenwich, Conn.
At UPS, Bloomenkranz was one of the key individuals inside UPS to re-create its brand and launch the highly-successful ‘What Can Brown Do for You?’ and ‘Whiteboard’ campaigns.”
