North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm says he’ll be running for his first full term in the job.
Gov. John Hoeven appointed Hamm last October. He replaced former Commissioner Jim Poolman, who resigned to become an insurance industry consultant.
Hamm is a Republican. He is holding events in Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot to open his campaign.
On the Democratic side, state Rep. Jasper Schneider of Fargo is seeking the party endorsement to run for insurance commissioner.
