The Nebraska Department of Insurance is getting a new, permanent boss.
She’s Ann Frohman, who has been acting director since the death in October of Director Tim Wagner.
The 44-year-old Frohman has been deputy director since January 2004 and has more than 15 years with the department, serving first as a staff attorney.
Governor Dave Heineman, who promoted Frohman, says she’s a respected leader in the department and in the state’s insurance industry.
The department regulates and examines all insurance companies and some related operations doing business in Nebraska.
She has a bachelor’s from what was then Kearney State College and a law degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
She will be paid $104,000.
