Overland Park, Kan.-based GE’s (ERC) announced that Mark Elborne is joining the company as general counsel.
Elborne, 45, comes to ERC from the law firm of CMS Cameron McKenna in London, and has extensive experience in the negotiation, arbitration and litigation of insurance-related law. Elborne has represented the company in the past, and has represented insurers and reinsurers in matters related to diverse product lines such as property, business interruption, contingency, liability, D&O and E&O.
His practice has taken him to jurisdictions around the world, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. He served as joint outside counsel for General Electric for all World Trade Center insurance matters requiring legal input outside the United States.
