Ohio-based Century Insurance Group appointed three executives to its senior management team. The individuals include Charles Hamm, senior vice president and director; Steven Young, senior vice president; and Carol Blaine, assistant vice president of corporate services.
“Century is identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the property and casualty insurance industry. Adding Charles, Steve and Carol’s extensive backgrounds and experience to our senior management team will help us meet this objective,” Roswell Ellis, chairman, CEO and president, commented. “These three appointments will permit Century to continue to respond to favorable market conditions for our core specialty property and casualty business.”
Hamm will work closely with the audit committee in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities to the shareholders.
Young will center on capital raising activities and management of Century’s investment portfolio.
Blaine will bring focus to recruiting a high quality staff and restructuring the human resources capability by installing a performance management system to produce greater company profitability.
