Minneapolis-based C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., a provider of transportation services and shipping logistics, indicated that it has settled one of three pending wrongful death lawsuits, resulting from a multi vehicle accident, for $4.25 million.
It also indicated that it has filed a separate suit against two of its insurance carriers, alleging wrongful conduct in the defense and settlement of the case, and is seeking to be reimbursed for the $4.25 million.
According to a report from Reuters, the company also confirmed that its “umbrella insurance carrier” has agreed that any judgments in the two other wrongful death lawsuits will be covered by its insurance policy.
