Carpenter Taps RenRe’s Flynn as Head of Global Clients, Global Specialties
Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance brokerage business of Marsh McLennan, announced the appointment of Matthew Flynn to the newly created role of head of Global Clients, Global Specialties.

Based in London, Flynn will join the Global Specialities leadership team and report to James Boyce, CEO Global Specialties. He is expected to join the firm in the coming months.
In this role, Flynn will be responsible for driving Guy Carpenter’s strategic value proposition for this client segment across Global Specialties, reflecting the firm’s strategic commitment to its global clients.
Flynn brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role and was most recently head of Property Catastrophe – Assumed Retro and UK Property at Renaissance Re. Prior to this, Flynn worked at Guy Carpenter from 2011 to 2018, where he was a managing director and senior broker, specializing in property retrocession for London, Bermuda, and global clients.

Tokio Marine HCC International Names Bridges as Chief Claims Officer
Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI), a member of the Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) group of companies, based in Houston, Texas, has announced the appointment of Gavin Bridges as chief claims officer of TMHCCI.
He will be based in London and will report to Thibaud Hervy, chief executive officer (CEO) of TMHCCI.

Bridges joins TMHCCI with over three decades of experience across the insurance industry. Most recently, he was head of European Market and Legacy Claims at QBE, where he was responsible for leading its European growth ambitions, refining its data lead solutions and driving portfolio optimization.
Prior to QBE, Bridges spent 15 years at Equity Insurance Group, where he became claims manager for its Lloyd’s Reinsurance and Overseas business.
At TMHCCI, Bridges will focus on strengthening the business’s claims strategy, enhancing its client-centric philosophy and collaborating closely with TMHCCI underwriting teams to achieve new heights of excellence in service for their clients.
Bridges’ appointment follows a series of recent senior leadership changes at TMHCCI, with Thibaud Hervy promoted to CEO and Simon Button promoted to international chief underwriting officer.
“Gavin is well known within the industry and brings with him invaluable experience in the management of international claims teams.
