Swiss Re announced the appointment of Agis Kitsikis as head of Client Markets P&C for Canada and English Caribbean, effective immediately. Kitsikis succeeds Stefan Behr, who recently accepted the position as Swiss Re’s head of Business Development for EMEA.
In his new role, Kitsikis will lead a team of client managers and market underwriters, focusing on fostering strategic dialogues with Swiss Re’s clients, understanding their priorities, and maintaining Swiss Re’s position as a trusted partner.
He will report directly to Monica Ningen, Swiss Re’s president and CEO of Canada and English Caribbean.
Kitsikis has spent most of his career in the P&C re/insurance industry and brings more than 10 years of experience to the role. He’s been with Swiss Re for more than a decade and has a background in underwriting, building successful client relationships, leading complex deals and managing portfolios.
Kitsikis previously served as a senior market underwriter and was responsible for some of Swiss Re’s largest P&C client relationships in Canada. He holds a doctorate in astrophysics from Ludwig- Maximilians Universita虉t Mu虉nchen, a Master of Science in Physics from Universite虂 de Montre虂al, and received his undergraduate degree in physics and mathematics from the University of Ottawa.
