Neon has appointed Catherine Sethi as senior underwriter in its Property Direct & Facultative (D&F) team.
Based in London, Sethi will report to Sam Yates, who joined Neon recently to lead the expansion and growth of its London property D&F book.
Sethi was previously at Sirius International Insurance, where she helped to establish a new property D&F book of open market and delegated business in addition to underwriting primary and excess of loss business for a global client base.
Prior to her role at Sirius, she held property D&F underwriting roles at Montpelier Re and worked for the international property team at Willis.
This is the latest in a series of hires over the last 12 months across London and Bermuda to establish Neon’s property insurance offering, led by Chris Fisher. Neon’s property D&F is being written by Dwayne Hunt and Kevin Stokes in Bermuda and Sam Yates and Holly Collins in London, while property binders are written by Jonathan Powell in London.
“Catherine will be an integral part of our London Property D&F team, working alongside our Bermuda-based open market D&F business, which continues to gain momentum following its launch last year,” said Fisher, who is head of Property Insurance at Neon.
“We have identified property insurance as an important growth area for Neon and this is the latest evidence of our intentions to further build our London property D&F book,” he added.
