Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.* announced the acquisition of Reid Manson Ltd. located in Timaru, New Zealand. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded more than 30 years ago, Reid Manson is a retail insurance broker providing commercial, rural, property, and personal lines insurance services to middle-market and individual clients throughout South and Mid-Canterbury, said a press release issued by the Itasca, Ill.-headquartered Arthur J. Gallagher.

Reid Manson specializes in developing tailored programs for commercial as well as small business, motor, home and contents insurance coverages, the statement added.

David Reid and his associates will continue to operate from their current locations in Timaru and Ashburton, New Zealand, under the direction of Carl O’Shea, CEO of Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd., an Arthur J. Gallagher company.
