Specialist global insurer Hiscox announced the appointment of Eva Berg-Winters as head of UK Claims.
Berg-Winters joins Hiscox from strategy consultants OC&C, where she was an associate partner. Originally from Germany, she has spent time working at McKinsey & Company, Deutsche Telekom, and PwC Strategy. Having worked in the UK since 2006, Berg-Winters brings extensive experience gained from managing projects across 10 EMEA countries and in industries including retail, financial services, media and telecoms, Hiscox said in a statement.
Based in London, Berg-Winters will lead the insurer’s 50-strong UK claims team with a specific focus on further developing its claims service by improving customer satisfaction, productivity and proposition, the company said.
Jeremy Pinchin, Hiscox’s group claims director, commented: “Eva is an important hire for us. Claims sit at the very heart of our business, and Eva’s broad business background and focus on digital and innovation will bring a new dynamic to the team.”
