MSIG at Lloyd’s has appointed Laura Wells as underwriter, property, and Matthew Radbourne as underwriter, power & utilities with immediate effect.
Wells brings over 20 years’ industry experience to MSIG, having previously held the position of direct and facultative property underwriter at WR Berkley. She joins MSIG to support the further profitable growth of the company’s international property account. Prior to WR Berkley, Wells spent 10 years at Beazley and has also worked for SCOR UK and Hartford Re Europe.
Radbourne joins MSIG with 17 years’ industry experience and was formerly a senior vice president at Guy Carpenter. Radbourne will help to grow MSIG’s power and utilities business and further its development as a global portfolio. Before Guy Carpenter he worked for Aon and has also worked for Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Marsh and Price Forbes.
Graeme Rayner, chief underwriting officer, said: “The profiles of both our power & utilities and international property portfolios have developed in recent years and are now poised for further expansion.”
He added that Wells’ and Radbourne’s expertise “will be of great importance in achieving further sustainable profitable growth in these strategically important areas of the business.”
