London-based QBE European Operations, which is part of QBE Insurance Group, has appointed Nick Menear as director of underwriting operations, effective April 1.
In this new role, Menear is responsible for fostering operational excellence within QBE’s retail and international markets divisions. He reports to Joe Gordon, chief operations officer, and will be a key member of the operations leadership team.
Menear has over 25 years’ experience within the London insurance market and has held senior positions in claims, reinsurance, operations and general management. He joined QBE in 2006 as part of its British Marine acquisition.
