Aon Benfield, the global reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor of Aon plc, announced the appointment of Luis Jos茅 Pardo, a leader with 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance markets, as CEO of its business in Peru. He will report to Alejandro Galizia, CEO of Aon Benfield Latin America.
Pardo’s responsibilities will “include driving new business growth in Peru, managing client teams, and creating and maintaining a robust business environment that is supportive to optimizing client results,” said the announcement.
He started his career as a loss adjuster, followed by seven years as a partner at a local insurance and reinsurance intermediary. He then occupied several senior executive positions at major Peruvian insurance companies including Pacifico Seguros and for the last eleven years at Rimac Seguros as a Senior Manager of the Reinsurance Department. He has carried out specialized studies in insurance, reinsurance and risk management in Peru, Chile, Colombia, the U.S., Germany and U.K.
Galizia remarked on “Pardo’s capability to deliver results to clients,” which he said reflects the “quality of service he has delivered over many years within the industry.”
